A PERFORMER
Trained in a diversity of style, Ysé is a passionate dancer and performer. Initially trained in contemporary and ballet back in France. She then moved to London to pursue her career and discovered a whole new kind of dance styles. She went to London Studio Centre (Jazz company), graduated in 2022. where she trained jazz techniques and musical theatre. Graduating around covid time she realises that her main interest is hip hop and contemporary. She joined Birdgang, company Jinx and kept training in a diversity of classes to improve and become a versatile performer.
A TEACHER
Understanding that this career is far from easy, she realises that one of the main reason to "make it" was actually to be able to inspire others to never give up no matter how long and heartbreaking the journey can be. She never felt like she could teach until then. Nevertheless, she met people along the way that pushed to create her own opportunity and not to be scared. She started this new journey covering other teachers here and there around London. She came to really love it and got the chance to take over a slot at Base.
A CHOREOGRAPHER
Ysé is a creative soul, she imagine moves when listening to music, she always has. Being in London offers many showcasing opportunities if you are willing to take them. Which is what happened, thanks to teaching, she had the motivation to create, thanks to meeting others and reaching out to platform, she had the place to showcase them. She always allows failure and know that this journey is a long game, she tries different things and build a variety of pieces.
A STAGE MANAGER
Unexpected things keep happening, here she goes, a couple evenings a week, assisting a stage manager at a dinner show for £10/h. She follows along what is meant to be done and start taking initiative. A year later, the current stage manager leaves and here she is, present to take over. This won't last very long but she learns a lot on this job. She learn how to produce, direct, support, organise, create and make decisions. She doesn't not necessarily want to work in this industry but enjoy learning and getting to be involved in other ways.
